Classic Vietnam hotel - sofitel Metropole My first in Sofitel Hanoi… basically stayed here as Hilton Hanoi Opera is on renovation … I expected a modern one. But is another classic piece as many Hanoi properties . I offered to get Accor membership as I use Sofitel Dubai too, somehow they couldn’t set me up ( not sure ?).The services are excellent. Food good and as typical all Vietnam hotels lack Vegan choices and have to make do with greens. But great anticipation services … Pleasant stay… WIFI was cool ..

Unforgettable Stay at Sofitel Legend Metropole, Hanoi Wow, what an amazing time we had at the Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi! They were doing some touch-ups on the historical side of the hotel, but it didn't dampen our experience one bit. The historical vibe of the place is really charming and adds a special feel to the whole stay.But what really took our experience from good to great were the people who work there. Whether we were dining in the restaurant, relaxing by the pool, using the gym, or just asking the concierge for recommendations, the staff was always super professional and friendly. The housekeeping was also top-notch.If you're thinking of visiting Hanoi, we'd totally recommend the Sofitel Legend Metropole. We had a stellar stay and wouldn't think twice about giving it a solid five stars. Thumbs up to the team there for their hard work and making us feel so welcome!

Great spa with skilled therapists I got the hotel's 90-minute jetleg spa. The spa, which was done in a very beautiful building, was enough to relieve the fatigue of the mind and body, and I was especially satisfied with the skilled spa process by Ms. Duong and Ms. Chi therapists. The pressure of the massage was appropriate. The therapist and spa are highly recommended for recovery from travel fatigue.

Magnificent two-night stay at the Metropole Hanoi ????? An exceptional Sofitel! A great Southeast Asian house. A hotel steeped in history (the visit to the bunker is a not-to-be-missed highlight) with a dedicated and competent staff. We really appreciated the exchanges before our arrival and the organization of our stay. Super French-speaking guide: Bãng.Special mention to the Concierge who took the initiative of contacting us the day before our arrival to warn us of a typhoon and an interruption in air traffic, which enabled us to organize ourselves calmly and not be impacted. Very professional. As was "Flowers", who personally looked after us from arrival to departure. Well done!The suite was very beautiful and well decorated. Nothing to complain about. 5-star comfort.The small but charming swimming pool in the hotel's inner courtyard is ideal for a break between two visits. Not ideal for all-day use. But a real plus in the end.The bamboo bar is great at the end of the day. Incredible decor and excellent cocktails.For breakfast, skip the first uninteresting room and head for the Club Bar in the inner courtyard. Colonial-style ambience and excellent buffet.Finally, the location is ideal. Sightseeing can be done on foot. Very pleasant French quarter, but very (too?) quiet in the evening.In short, without doubt one of the best choices in Hanoi. We recommend it without hesitation.

Luxury historic hotel but overrated Like others mentioned, this historic hotel has good location. Breakfast is amazing but paying over $600 a night for 3 persons for club level room is not worth it. Service was not consistent and while staff was polite, they did not seem to be warm or sincere. We had a minor issue which needed to be clarified. It was addressed early in the morning but we didn’t get the answer until late afternoon after 3 stops at the front desk since “the manager is not here”. Pillows, comforter and sheets are high end and comfortable. They attached all the bath products to the wall which is okay but for the lotion is a bit inconvenient since you have to go the bathroom when you need it. It's also annoying that it's so hard to press the pump and you have to press it several times to get enough amount of shampoo or bath gel for each shower. I understand it's Balmain products but it's kinda cheesy for a 5 star hotel. Overall I think this hotel is a bit overrated

Tout n’est que luxe calme et volupté Hôtel sublime, un vrai Palace. Tout est parfait! la nourriture, la beauté des chambres, le lieu, la piscine mais surtout la qualité du personnel aux petits soins . Courez y! Merci à Miss Hoa Man qui est une perle, merveilleuse professionnelle et qui donne tout pour vous faire plaisir. C’est une grande dame. L’hôtel a de la chance de l’avoir. J’ai été aussi très émue par Miss Chi au Spa qui m’a prodigué un soin comme je n’ai jamais eu de ma vie. Cette femme est une vraie therapists qui vous soigne toutes vos douleurs et vous envoie au paradis. Chang aussi m’a fait un merveilleux massage.J’ai passé 6 jours merveilleux. Merci à vous tous. Je reviendrai dès que je pourrai .

A legend as its name. The hotel itself is classic and not new, although it feels absolutely luxurious. The housekeeper did their great job and everything is sparkling clean. Because the hotel is quite old, I can smell other people’s smell (musky sweat + dampness) everywhere from the furniture to the bed, especially pillow. However, I feel very well looked after because they tried everything they could after I mentioned to the hotel’s staffs. We are very well traveled and rarely any 5 stars hotel breakfast would impress us anymore, but this hotel’s breakfast is just amazing. High quality fruit and vegetables, freshly made crepe and tasty Vietnamese traditional breakfast.The club lounge offers various of good food too. Thank you Suan, Jack Wu and all the reception team at the for making her effort to make sure we have everything we need. We did enjoy the bunker tour which lasts about 45 minutes. If you want to travel historical Hanoi and still enjoy a nice comfort home-like hotel at the same time, I highly recommend this Sofitel Metropole Hanoi. I cannot complete the review without mentioning our super host. Thank you Ms Hua and Ms Trang for looking after us and taking care of everything we have asked you for. Special thanks to my masseur, Chi, I love the head and hand reflexology so much. Also thank you to a male staff who fixed and delivered my daughter’s ducky headband. You have made their day :) Thank you for those who I don’t know the names, I appreciate your hard work. You all are great as a team.

Metrople Hanoi - the best place to stay in Hanoi One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Rooms great food and location excellent, but what really makes the hotel are the wonderful warm and friendly staff that really take great care of you. Would truly recommend and thanks for a great start to our holiday.In addition, there is a fantastic Spa which is very reasonable where I had 2 of the best massages ever with special mention to the 2 massage therapists Chien and Bong! Thanks again to both.

Yes, but ... It's a great hotel in general, but not sure it provides the value for the money (this is reflected in the number of stars I gave as well). On a positive side, the staff was great and professional. The breakfast is superb. On the negative side, the pool is small and is situated right next to the bar/restaurant. Also, I happened to stay at the first floor and was quite shocked on how strong was the noise coming from the bar (they closed at midnight). It's not just the noise which one can handle with earplugs - one Yes, but could actually feel the vibration from the music. And when you are on business and jetlagged, it's frustrating.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful stay My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. The service was impeccable, from the airport transfers, to the ease of check in, to the staff at the restaurant and bar facilities. Our room was well appointed, comfortable and clean. The thoughtful amenities, particularly the breakfast and cocktail hour, really put things over the top. Location is ideal, within an easy walk of Hoa Hoan Kiem and the Old City. We will definitely be staying here again when we are next in Hanoi!
